4 Atc for Freedom

This is the first time I publish Atc on this blog and I want do it in a special way.

These are 4 individual Atc that combined together make up a small painting.

To make the background, first I brushed Blingz and shortly after I sprayed Shimmerz Spritz to dilute a bit the Blingz and create a double color effect.

The combinations of colors I used are: for the yellow Atc Mello Yello Blingz with Chick-a-dee Shimmerz Spritz; for the orange Atc Island Salsa Blingz with Mango Madness Shimmerz Spritz; for the green Atc Winter Green Blingz with 4 Leaf Clover Shimmerz Spritz and for the blue Atc Under The Sea Blingz with Eucalyptus Shimmerz Spritz.

I realized the black balls with the help of a stencil and I sprayed Before Dawn Vibez.

Once the background ready, I drew the bird cage with a white gel pen, then I embossed the wings and the birds and finally I added some charms.

Blingz and Thingz

I find myself grabbing my Simmerz Blingz for all of my projects. No lie, I'm in love with Shimmerz Blingz. I know, I know, if I'm so in love with Blingz...I should marry it, right?
I would if I could but I can't.
I'm already married.
Darn.

When sitting down to create my "Swim" layout, I knew that I would be using a lot of blue. I grabbed any Shimmerz Product I had that was blue...Blingz, Vibez, Spritz.
And then I grabbed my Orange and brown Shimmerz too.

I loved turning my Black and White Paper
Black and Sea Monkey or
Black and Rusty Bottom
using the Shimmerz Spritz.

And oh, the Blingz,
If I could marry you...

to my little chipboard Seahorse:

The Winter Green Blingz really dressed up my cardstock letters:

I love how Shimmerz products always push my creativity to a whole new level!

Shimmerz is like music...

Hi there ladies, I have two fun layouts to share with you today. First, this is my youngest daughter Bailey. I love the way her laughter sounds, and the joy it brings to my heart. She is full of life so I wanted this layout to be the same. What better way to bring a layout alive than with Shimmerz.







here I used Pixie Dust Blingz as a topping on my roses.



The Ranger Ink music note mask coupled with Sunset Strip Vibez created a fun background.


On this layout I splattered the yellow polka dot background with Shimmerz Spritz Licorice
this simple technique has a large impact on the feel of this layout.


As you can see it doesn't matter if you use our Shimmerz on most of your project or in a small way it makes a large impact. Happy Scrapping ladies!!

Crochet Doilies

Good day to all of you!

I am here again to share with you a project that I did using some Shimmerz Pearlz. I have painted some cream crochet doilies that I got with my ScrapThat! July kit featuring IOD paper line.

A flowery shirt!

In this post I will show you a quick and simple ideas to decorate a white shirt.

I cut some stripes of white muslim from an old sheet.

I colored the white stripes whit Vibez: first Sunset Strip Vibez and then Sea Monkey, Red-Y or Not, Princess, Razzle Dazzle Berry, Jeni B Blue and Grape Escape Vibez.

I made with the strips colorful and bright flowers.



I used the green strip, colored with Hermit The Frog Vibez, to create grass and ..... voilà:

Shimmerz Spritz and Pink Paislee

I have looked at this photo of my husband for a long time and finally decided to scrap it with the
Pink Paislee collection.. I wanted to create a party them so I created a banner with pom pom using the Pink Paislee papers. I also incorporated the Hambly Screen Prints transparency with the green elephants in the design.

The two base Pink Paislee papers are attached with Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner and then I stitched around the page. I spritzed the top of the paper with Shimmers Sprits In Rock a Fella Blue. 

 I also sprayed the transparency with Shimmerz Vibez in Hermit the Frog ( green) The Transparency is attached with Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive. The banner is built on a piece of cord called rat tail and the banner elements are attached with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

Butterflies and Shimmerz

Happy Weekend! LG here blogging for Shimmerz Paints today. 

I know you have read a thousand times already how much we adore the different products of Shimmerz Paints. This is because it is worth telling about! Shimmerz Paints add sparkle and shimmer to any project you want to create. It gives that special touch to everything you use it on.

Today I would like to share with you a very easy and simple 8.5"x11" layout that I did. Initially I illustrated a butterfly pattern that I would like to use on my layout. Then I used my scanner to scan the image and duplicated it on Photoshop creating different sizes. Lastly, I printed them out and individually cut my image. This is what  I used as templates for my background effect.

The traditional way of draw and cut would also be fine. Simply draw the silhouette of any shape you would like to use on any leftover paper and cut them out.

These butterflies are recyclable and can be used several times. It can be used as masking or a template to create embellishments. Don't limit yourself. Try out several patterns like leaves, birds, stars, etc.

 Here is the layout that I finished using my butterfly templates:

Aren't they beautiful? Our two new Shimmerz Vibez colors are Fiery Fiesta (shown left) and Pop Art Pink (shown right). Fiery Fiesta is a beautiful light colored orange (I would liken it to orange sherbert but daker) with a light gold shimmer and Pop Art Pink is this great cotton candy pink with a HUGE gold shimmer to it. We have never had a color like Pop Art Pink before!

Our 3 beautiful new Pearlz colors are (from top to bottom) Blue By You, Peas-B-Mine and Luscious Lilac. You will be impressed with their density and coverage. They are more thick, luscious and creamy then ever before. Plus these colors play sooo well together!

Hello everyone! Here's my little share for the day:

One of my favorite things to do on my layouts is crochet. On this layout I crocheted around the edge of the paper and the outer cardstock. To compliment my hand-crocheted work, I added a little bit of vintagecrocheted trim underneath my title fabric piece. I cut that trim from a vintage cloth napkin that I found at my local flea market, then I colored it with Shimmerz -- a combo of Eucalyptus Spritz and Jeni B Bleu Vibez:

 I colored white Prima flowers with Sapphire and Sea Foam Spritz and Hermit the Frog Vibez:

 

I used Lily Bee papers, chipboard and a rub-on on this page.

Art book!

I love playing with the canvas: color it with any kind of colors; stamp; paste flowers, newspaper clippings, pictures ....

Thanks to Shimmerz, now I can make my paintings, and even more, with a new effect. The Shimmerz products are water based paints and they can be used to tone other water based paints down.

Want do you to see?

One day I took a piece of cloth and ..... after having used very much gesso, glue, Water-soluble wax pastel color, watercolors, some rub ons ... here is the final result.

But my work could not be said finished, I was still unsatisfied.I took Babys Breath Shimmerz Spritz and I sprayed, sprayed, sprayed...

The wax pastel and watercolors dissolved and mixed with Babys Breath Shimmerz Spritz. All this made brilliant the whole canvas. The flowers seem dewy.


Now is a good job! I used my painting as a cover of a small art book.

The pages of my art book are sheets 12x12 folded and bound. I drew a small black border around the edges and then I sprayed Babys Breath Shimmerz Spritz to blend it.

I inserted, between the sheets, of the white flowers colored with Vibez and Shimmerz Spritz. I used : Sapphire Shimmerz Spritz, Sunset Strip Vibez, Red-Y or Not Vibez, Hermitte Frog Vibez, Vertigre Vibez and Grape Scape Vibez.

Shimmery Shiny Buttons

Hi ladies, I have a simple fun way to make your own buttons using any of your Shimmerz products. I love the bare elements line by Creative Imaginations. These are called pointes. They are adhesive backed and ready to be altered.

For this project I am using Shimmerz Pearlz "Carrot Top", and Blingz "Pixie Dust", a paint brush (small), a 1/8th inch punch, and a fine tip black pen.

You need to decided which color you want your buttons to be. Simply peel the pointe off the back of the clear sheet, use your paint brush and apply a generous amount of paint to the adhesive back.




Allow it to completely dry. It will take about 20 minutes or less.



Now you can do this two ways. If you desire more bling you can add your Blingz to the adhesive side first, then come behind it with the Pearlz once it drys. I did it both ways. Also keep in mind you can adhere a patterned paper behind your button once your Shimmerz drys for an even different look.



this is the button with the Blingz "Pixie Dust" applied first.
And once it dried I applied the Shimmerz Pearlz "Carrot Top" to the back. So basically you can reverse the steps of paint application for different levels of shine.

Next you will take your dry buttons and eye ball where you want your buttons holes



then punch your button holes



and voila you have a gorgeous custom button to match your projects.
