Toadlee have to have it!

In the midst of all of the bright new Pearlz colors, there are a trio of amazing everyday neutrals with Toadlee leading the pack in my opinion. Its coppery tones mixed with a great chocolatey appeal, make it a must-have, go-to kind of color.
And once you combine it with our This Spuds For You, they are a wee match made in heaven. I used a combination of both colors plus a hint of Sunny Side Up (which if you are to only buy one of our new Pearlz colors, THIS IS IT!) to make the cool background on my photo.
Yep, I once again painted my photo paper before printing my picture out. I used a paper towel to daub the photo paper and leave behind a great distressed look. A paint job over my Petaloo flowers and to make "holes" in my scalloped edge, help round out the page.

Here is my finished layout and a sneak peek of Toadlee:

Shimmerz Pearlz Toadlee, you TOADLEE have to have it!

Happy birthday to you!

May is the month of birthdays .... many birthdays!

I placed a swirl stencil on the cardstock and I sprayed Razzel Dazzel Berry Vibez and Hermit Frog Vibez. I made the drop with Espress-o Shimmerz Pearlz.

I colored, with a brush, the white felt border and the the edges of the flowers with Sunny Side Up Pearlz : the color is bright and the shimmer is amazing.

Have a great day with creativity!

Cherish

I love the newest colors in the Shimmerz Pearlz family, and Emerald Isle is one of those colors that just jumps of your pages and projects! For this project I had fun using it on the cardboard and painting my cardboard to just make this cover shine on this mini album I am working on.
For the flowers I went ahead and used the new Shimmerz Pearlz in the colors Samrock, Carrot Top, Sunny Side Up and Papa Purple. I love the way these colors just jump out at you and the shimmer and colors are just so intense! These are totally a must have for anyone who loves to have your pages and projects stand out!

Here is a close up view of the flowers and just how wonderfully these colors shimmer and jump out at you!

Beautiful isn't it?

For the Birds...

Since summer is coming, I decided our feathered friends needed a new adorable home. (Okay, let's be honest, this little house is going to live inside where I can admire it all season long).

Using 'Tickle-Me-Turquoise I painted around the outside of the rooftop. I then alternated the roof tile ribbons with Carrot Top, Pixie Dust, Shamrock, & Pink.

For the perch, I painted two coats of Espresso. Then using a thin brush, I painted a line of Pixie Dust to accent the owls. For the two center pop-out owls, I painted Shamrock & Pink for a little extra shine.

Renew with Pearlz

I had some really old paper flowers that looked almost damaged and unusable. At Least until I painted two coats of SamRock Pearlz on them. And, Viola they looked brand new.
I then cut the flower in half and layered it along with my other embellishments. I love the penetrating color SamRock Pearlz has, and the Shimmer is to die for. Green is in this year and SamRock can help make a statement on any project.

Beautiful Bride

Some of my most treasured photos are those that were taken of my family members years ago.  I love looking at these old photos . . . they provide a glimpse into times past. This layout features a picture of my mom on her wedding day:

I used Pixie Dust Shimmerz on the white Prima flower and leaves to give them some shimmer and shine.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Two More

Here is a layout that I made a few days ago featuring 2 colors of Shimmerz Paints with The Girl's Paperie line. I have used both Shimmerz and the New Pearlz. I just love the finished effect that it gave to my page.

The circles were punched out from plain cardstocks. It was initially embossed using Cuttlebug diecut machine. After making several circles in different sizes, Shimmerz paints were applied to it by my 2 year old daughter who volunteered herself to do it.

She first applied Grammie Berry Pearlz on several circles and applied Shimmerz Blueberry Cobbler on the remaining circles. What's great about Shimmerz paints is they are non-toxic so even your kids can have fun making art projects using it.

Thanks for looking!

Oh, Happy Day!

Here is another banner I recently created with the new Shimmerz Pearlz Paints. I used a Maya Road chipboard album and a bunch of bright colorful Fancy Pants papers. I decided to make it into a cheerful banner instead of a mini book. I used some Samrock Pearlz on the chipboard letters and Carrot Top Pearlz and Sunnyside Up Pearlz on the flowers. I also used some Ruby Spritz on some flowers Hermit the Frog Vibes on the leaves.

In order to use Pearlz on my metal embellishments like the book plates on this banner, I just swipe them with a thin coat of white acrylic paint first and then paint on the Pearlz (here I used Sunnyside up) when dry!

Wishing you an oh so happy Monday!

Green with Envy

Green with Envy has quickly become a personal favorite. The color is bright, bold, and the shimmer is amazing. The texture is thick and creamy.

For this project I started by stamping the background using bubble wrap and just one coat of Green with Envy. Which was perfect for my paper choice "Life's Portraits" since there isn't alot of yellow in the patterns.
I pretty much went Pearlz crazy on this layout. I painted my doily, I put a dollop of Pearlz in the center of my red flower, I distressed my edges of the paper, brushed a nice thick coat onto my flowers, and even daubed random paint patterns onto my alphabets using a small paint brush.

It's time ladies to whip out your paint/steeple brushes and daub away at something on your project using Shimmerz Pearlz. You'll love the effects
My design was inspired by a sketch from our very own Lady Grace Belarmino

New Pearlz Sunny Side Up & This Spuds 4U

I am just loving the NEW Simmerz Pearlz!!!! It is vibrant and rich with shimmer. It gave each and every project a glow of magnificence. No need to reapply several times! One stroke of a brush will give you the color, the texture and the shimmer that you will definitely want to achieve!

For this layout, I have used both New Pearlz Sunny Side Up and This Spuds 4 U. The combination of this color is perfect for summer, vintage and fun projects.

I have used my SD4U May kit featuring October Afternoon's Thrift Shop line. I specifically chose the papers that has most yellows, browns and blacks in it since I am using a sepia photo.

Before adhering all my elements, I painted the middlepart of my background cardstock with Pearlz This Spuds 4U using a foam brush. Brushed the paint back and fort horizontally. Using a foam brush creates this visible pattern of broken lines so I painted some Pearlz Sunny Side Up on this spaces.

Just look how vibrant this NEW Pearlz colors are. This is a paper flower but with Pearlz Sunny Side Up added to it, it looks more sparkly and real. The paint added the personal touch I am aiming for. So try the NEW Pearlz NOW!!!!

This Spuds 4 U

The queen of Pearlz is back, and this time she brings with her more color options for your creative sparkle needs. These new Pearlz are just what you've been waiting for. From 'Carrot Top' to 'This Spuds 4 U', you are bound to find the sparkle and shine you've come to expect from Shimmerz in this new Pearlz line that you've been waiting for.
For this piece, I used Carrot Top as an overlay on my ribbon tape. The shine that it adds is stunning. The corner flower is a mix of Prima and Petaloo flowers that have been embellished with 'Blue Into Town', 'Espresso', & 'This Spuds 4U'. I highlighted the center brad with 'Carrot Top'. Have you noticed that Carrot Top keeps appearing??? I LOVE it.

The cluster of buttons feature 'Grammie Berrie', 'Carrot Top', & 'This Spuds 4U'. Finally, I added some paint detail onto the paper with 'Grammie Berrie' & Shimmerz 'Concrete'.

***************************

A tale of three cards. Two of these cards were destined for Moms on Mother's Day...the other is a birthday card for my bestie's birthday coming at the end of the month. Because of these special occasions, special measures were needed: enter the new Shimmerz Pearlz colors. Knock your socks off colors with a punch, these colors will add gorgeous shine & shimmer to any project, whatever the occasion.

For these cards I used Carrot Top to distress and highlight the edge of the flower pedals on each layer. I also used it for the center brad. For the other two cards, I used a Heidi Swapp butterfly mask and painted over it with Carrot Top Pearlz. I love how the sparkle is the first thing you notice when looking at these cards.

Whether you choose 'Blue Into Town' or my new favorite 'Carrot Top', I know you'll find a new Pearlz that will delight you! Thanks for stopping by...

Look which new Pearlz color just "Blue Into Town"!!

These new Pearlz colors are the perfect addition to the Shimmerz family. There are so many rich colors to choose from! Within all the Shimmerz product lines, my favorite colors are the various shades of blue – Sea Foam and Sapphire Spritz, Jeni-B-Blue Vibez, Tickle-Me-Turquoise Shimmerz – so it was no surprise that my favorite of all the new Pearlz colors is Blue Into Town (don’t ya just love that name??!!!). Here’s a layout I made with the new Blue Into Town Pearlz alongside some of my other favorite Shimmerz products. I paired them up with some beautiful Teresa Collins papers and gorgeous Petaloo flowers:

The new Pearlz look great by themselves, but you can also pair them up with acrylic paint for a neat effect. To create a vibrant photo frame, I first outlined the photo area with teal acrylic paint. Once that was dry, I added Blue Into Town Pearlz around the outside of the frame.

I also used Blue Into Town Pearlz on some of these lovely Petaloo flowers. The rich Blue ones were colored with the Pearlz, and the other flowers were colored with either Sea Foam and Sapphire Spritz or Wintergreen Shimmerz. I added a little white glitter on top of a few of the flowers.

I can’t wait to play with all the new Pearlz colors. I think that Carrot Top is calling my name!!

A fluttering curtain

New Pearlz in 11 fantastic colors ... they all are very beautiful. Why do not use them all together?

I cut the butterflies and the flowers from the canvas. Then I embossed them with Utee clear. I used the new Pearlz with a brush and I colored the butterflies and the flowers using all the 11 colors.

New colors match very well: Papa Purple with Blue Into Town, Sunny Side Up with Carrot Top, Green with Envy with Samrock ...... and much much more. We have fun finding the different color combinations and we discover the brightness and brillance of the new Pearlz.
