We've got some new products coming! They're launching November 1st. There are FIVE new colors... but they're MORE than just new color additions... these five new colors are a whole new product line! The plan is to offer them through the holidays.

That's all I'm authorized to say about the products themselves until launch day, but I do want to add that starting right now you can enter to win your very own set of these five new colors. Here's how:

(a) Leave us a comment -- just one per person unless you meet the criteria of (b) and/or (c) -- and tell us what brought you to our blog today. A specific link? Shopping for Shimmerz?

(b) Leave us one additional bonus comment if you're a member of our Yahoo! group, for one extra chance to win. You can join by clicking the link on the right-hand side of the blog.

(c) Leave us one additional bonus comment if you've posted a link to this blog candy on YOUR blog. Make sure the link to the specific post is included.

Comments will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time on October 31st. Then check back on Saturday morning to see the amazing new colors and see if you won!

Shimmery Cornucopia!

Hello!! I've been getting Shimmery again! :) I have been LOVING my Candle Light Shimmerz lately! Probably because it matches SO well with Vanilla and all the Autumn colors that I've been playing with! I knew the second I was done with this card that it was in dire need of sparkle! I also added a little bit to the leaves! Hope you enjoy! :)

Stamping with Shimmerz!

I just LOVE how these leaves turned out! The Shimmerz really gave them such a soft glow! I started out with a half-sheet of cardstock, I stamped the leaf veins with Timber Stazon, then I Shimmerz'd up my leaf stamp and stamped! It was very easy! I also used a paint brush to create the splatterz on the paper. I loved the look of this card so much, I made a whole batch of them!
I used the Limited Edition Shimmerz - Rustic Red, Sagebrush, and Beeswax.

Card Details: Stamps: Rustic Leaves - Kitchen Sink Stamps. Cardstock: SU! White and Choc. Chip. Ribbon: May Arts. Shimmerz: Rustic Red, Sagebrush, and Beeswax.

Please remember to read about the Shimmerz Announcement and Blog Candy below!

Have fun stamping!

Winter Wish - Shimmerz Style

I really don't care for the cold, brisk, windy weather that Winter usually brings to Idaho - but I love the holidays that are during the Winter months and especially the great excuse to mimic nature with frost - in other words a perfect excuse to use SHIMMERZ!!!! Here's a little sample of Jack Frost - really making his mark on the trees and ground.....
Card Details: Tree Stamps and Sentiment (Unity), Pattern Paper (Memory Box), felt bird (American Crafts), Solar White cardstock (Neenah), Rich Coca (Memento) & Vintage Photo (Tim Holtz Distress Ink) and ANGEL WINGS (SHIMMERZ). Enjoy and Create, Lila

Santa Loves A Little Shimmer(z)!!

With it getting closer to Christmas/holiday card crunch time, I thought I'd take some brand new stamps and pair them up with their perfect match-- SHIMMERZ! Want to see what I cooked up? Just recently, I got my hands on some holiday stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs. Now I really think I need more! They are nicely etched rubber and stamp wonderfully!

So, I made this little number using the Rockin' Holiday set! I wanted a kind of spunky layout - something off center and just whimsical. I love how the set includes a little cookie and milk plate! I popped it off to the side so that it was "waiting" for Santa! I used a circle cutter, a 1/14" punch and my scalloped circle punch from SU. One thing you can't see in the main photo is just how much Santa sparkles! That's where the Shimmerz comes into play!

Here's a close up! I used Royal Red on his suit, Angel Wings on his beard, Coal on his boots, Candle Light to color the milk, and added some Mocha to the chocolate chips! I also added some white Liquid Applique to his hat and jacket to give it that fuzzy feel. Before the applique was heat set, I did sprinkle some prisma glitter on it so that Santa's hat would sparkle too!
The rest is decorative paper, some fun Christmas ribbon and some red bling!

So, shimmer away this holiday season! It's the perfect time of year to add a bit of pizazz and sparkle to all your cards!

Just a little shimmer for the holidays!

When the paper starts to fly and you start creating your holiday cards -- isn't it nice to know there's a paint out there that is perfect for this time of year? Don't ALL your cards need a little shimmer... a little sparkle? I think so!! And with all the colors of Shimmerz -- they've got you covered!

I used one of the brand new sets from Flourishes - City of David - for this card. I stamped my scene on a parchment style decorative paper with Taupe Vivid ink. The wise men were stamped with Versamark and embossed with gold detail embossing powder. The camels were colored with a brown watercolor pencil and the wise men's coats were actually painted with Shimmerz paints. If you look at them straight on - all you see is color....
.... but shine it toward the light, and you can see just how much is sparkles! I used Royal Purple, Aquamarine and Burgundy.
To finish the card up, stamp and emboss the stars in gold in the upper right corner of your card, add some bling for the main star and mat your oval onto a scalloped oval shape cut from your Oval Scalloped Nestabilities. I also used Taupe ink for my saying, "Wise Men Still Seek Him." That's it my friends! It's a pretty easy card perfect for the holiday season!
